Bags on Board® provides a convenient solution for picking up after pets. Recently Bags on Board® has changed its view on the biodegradability of its pick-up bags, due to information released from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) that discourages the composting of pet waste. In order for plastic products to claim they are biodegradable they must also be compostable, as a requirement established by the ASTM for Compostable Plastic (American Standard Test Method). Since pet waste should not be composted (at the recommendation of the EPA), Bags on Board® pick up bags are also not biodegradable.
